The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), which began more than 85 years ago as a heating and ventilation show, has now grown into one of the world’s largest HVACR events. The Exposition is held annually in key markets and major cities across the U.S., hosting close to 2,000 exhibitors and bringing in crowds of 60,000 industry professionals. The Show provides a unique forum for the HVACR community to come together and share new products, technologies, and ideas. The event is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, and is held in conjunction with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference.
Orlando is to play host to an estimated 50,000 visitors from the HVACR industry when the AHR Expo visits the city at the end of January.
The exhibition, which again coincides with the ASHRAE Winter Meeting, will feature exhibits from nearly 2,000 companies, taking up over 37,000m² of the Orange County Convention Center.
In the run-up to the show, the Cooling Post will be looking at the new products and technologies due to be released at this important US event.
Since 1930, the AHR Expo has been the HVACR professional’s best resource for new products, new ideas and new services. This year’s show is expected to follow that tradition.
In addition to the exhibits, there are many educational options at the AHR Expo. The ASHRAE Learning Institute offers full-day and half-day for-credit courses. In addition, there are many shorter classes provided by a wide variety of industry Associations. Finally, exhibiting companies will be making short presentations of their latest products in the New Product and Technology Theatre.
The show will also feature two special product areas – a Building Automation & Control Showcase and a Software Centre.
